Happy summer! Loving the long days and warm weather. Hopefully you are enjoying it as well.

RISKWORLD 2023 in Atlanta was great. Truthfully, I wasn’t expecting to like the venue based on attendees’ comments from the last time it was in Atlanta (25 years ago). But it was terrific. Where the conference center is located was walking distance to most of the hotels and there are some great restaurants in that city. Mark your calendar for May 5-9, 2024. RISKWORLD 2024 is in San Diego!

In May, we had our Risk Manager Round Table. It was the best turnout we have ever had. The conversation was great, Beth Ann Coleman lined up a few topics to throw out on the table and just about everyone contributed on one topic or another. It makes me feel like maybe we are ready to start meeting in person again. This type of networking is what RIMS is all about. Zoom meetings are educational and convenient, but the conversation is so important.

How about those Padres, at our Summer Social, they kicked butt. I wasn’t able to attend, but I heard it was a good turnout and a great time was had by all.

We have our annual Golf Classic coming up August 4th at the beautiful Coronado golf course. This is our 25th year for the beginning of this primary fund raiser for the chapter. There are still sponsorships available until the first week of July. Go to the below link and sign up now.
